To kick off Maruhon Sesame Oil’s entry into the U.S. market, we partnered with the Culinary Institute of America’s New York location on the Maruhon Sesame Oil Culinary Challenge.
Students were invited to pair up with another Culinary Institute student and submit a recipe video to enter the Maruhon Sesame Oil Culinary Challenge. The winning pair of chefs won a trip to Japan!
From the video submissions, judges picked the below top 5 videos. The winners then were invited to create a new twist on an American classic with one of the four types of traditionally pressed Japanese sesame oils: untoasted sesame oil, lightly toasted sesame oil, toasted sesame oil, or dark toasted sesame oil.
